Project Details

The Career Walk at the Mafi Kumase Senior High School was held on the 1st of July, 2017. A minimum of fifty (50) selected female students were paired with Mentors and Female Role Models according to their career choices. The student and mentors walked over a stretch of 500 meters from the Mafi Kumase Senior High School to the Mafi Nukpotoe R.C Basic School. The students and Mentors came back to converge at the Mafi Kumase Senior High School Campus to share experience and have fun.Students were grouped according to their departments in the school and their career preferences.They had one on one interactions with the mentors and had the opportunity to asked questions bothering their minds about their career choices.

The mentors advised the students to make good use of their time at school and stop putting unnecessary financial pressure on their parents. They also advised them to develop extra skills to add to their lives after the school.

Miss Setor told the Mentees to take French as a subject very serious. She also advised them to learn hard. She said “youhave to develop time table for yourselves and always learn hard”.

The Girls Club was established with the selected students with Madam Victoria Kaletsi assigned as the Patron.
