GLOWDEP had the opportunity to organize girl child education and adolescent health reproductive programme for 52 selected students of the Mafi Dugame Primary and D.A Primary Schools.
GLOWDEP hadface to face discussions and Focus Group Discussions with the Club Members on teenage pregnancy, reproductive health and confidence building. The students were advised by GLOWDEP, the GES and the teachers to be of good behavior and take their studies serious. They were advised to report issues of sexual abuse by adult be them teachers, colleague students or people in the community to their parents, the Heads of the Schools, GES, GLOWDEP, Social Welfare or any other responsible personalities and organizations in the community.
The adolescents among them were sensitized on proper use of Sanitary Pads and general Reproductive Health Hygiene. They were also supplied with free sanitary pads for their menstrual hygiene activities. This was done to promote menstrual hygiene among them.
