EDEM NORGBEY
Program Manager
Edem is a Youth coach, Trainer and Project Management Expert. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Wales. Edem also holds a Bsc. (Honours) Degree in Building Technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Edem began his professional career as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor with Akuffo & Associates, Accra on the Government of Ghana ‘Schools under Trees and Emergency Intervention Programme’; funded by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFUND). He served as the chief Liaison between the Quantity Surveyors on the over three hundred (300) construction sites across the Ashanti and Western Regions of Ghana; and the Head office. Edem’s immense contribution to the success of the programme promoted him to the position of Project Coordinator for the project.
Today, Edem works as the Projects Manager – Community Capacity Training and Development for the Global Women Development Promoters. He is actively involved in training local people particularly women in the management and sustainability of the new water supply, hygiene and sanitation scheme of the ‘5 Districts Water Supply Project’ in three districts in the Volta Region – A Ghana- Austria turnkey development project being executed by Messrs Strabag of Austria.
As an individual called to provide leadership, service and hope to his generation; Edem has a personal conviction that by engineering a renaissance of a new generation of African Leaders, beginning with its young people; Africa can and should be able to assume its position as a global leader both politically and economically within the next quarter of a century.
